How do you use Bluesky gel?
Directions for use: Apply Hard Gel directly to the nail to add strength. Cure for 60 seconds LED/120 seconds UV. Repeat as desired, but 3 coats are recommended. Finish by applying your favourite Bluesky colour or just a shiny Top Coat for that natural look.
How long do you cure Blue Sky Hard gel for?

- Continue with your gel colour and Top Coat as normal, or simply apply a Top Coat for a natural manicure with added strength.
How do you use Bluesky builder gel on natural nails?
Take your Blueksy Builder Gel and a brush and carefully apply to the form up to your desired length. Cure for 60 seconds. Repeat the process to build on your first layer and cure for a further 60 seconds. Once you’re happy with the nail, repeat the process for all other nails.
Can you cure Bluesky with LED?
Bluesky Gel will cure using LED or UV Nail lamps, although bear in mind that the LED lamps are faster and last much longer than the UV lamps if you intend to purchase a new nail lamp.
Do You Apply base coat before hard gel?
Do you need a Base Coat when using Hard Gel? We always advise using a Base Coat at the beginning of every gel manicure. This is because it provides the perfect base layer for all following coats to adhere to.
Do you put a top coat over hard gel?
Continue with your gel polish colour coats and finish with your Top Coat. Plenty of our Bluesky users also love adding an extra coat of Hard Gel before the Top Coat, so you can experiment with what works best for you and your nails to ensure they stay stronger for longer.
How many coats of builder gel do I need?
Ensure you are not applying the Builder Base too thick. 2-3 layers is best over 1 thick layer. 3. Ensure the clients nails are healthy and not damaged or too thin.
How many coats of gel polish should I use?
Nail technicians recommend at least two coats of color, but the more you do, the more opaque your application. Don’t worry if the first one looks streaky — thin layers will do the job better than thick uneven ones. Cure your polish in between each coat, placing your nails under the lamp for at least 30 seconds each.
Why is my builder gel still sticky after curing?
Why are my gel nails tacky after applying a base coat? All of your gel coats will feel tacky after curing. It’s the tackiness which allows each subsequent coat to stick.
Why is my gel polish not drying?
It sounds like the gel-polish is not fully cured. If you are using a traditional UV lamp, make sure the bulbs are fresh. You need to change them out every three months or so. It is also possible that you are applying the gel-polish too thick.
Do you buff builder gel?
The flexibility of builder gel does mean that they are less likely to cause a breakage. If you use a soak off formula, you can minimise damage during the removal, too, as less filing and buffing will be needed.
