- To Adjust the BOV, rotate the cap, this increases the spring force on the piston,
- Rotate the cap clockwise in the direction of hard as marked on the top of the lid.
- To decrease the spring force on the piston. Rotate the cap anti-clockwise in the direction of soft as marked on the top of the lid.
What does soft and hard mean on a BOV?
Softer = less vaccum to actuate the valve; Harder = more vaccum to actuate the valve. So in essence the more boost you are running the harder the spring needs to be set at. In some BOV’s you have to just swap out the spring to a different stiffness spring to control it.
