What is FEIBA and how does it work?
FEIBA is an Anti-Inhibitor Coagulant Complex approved for use in hemophilia A and B patients with inhibitors for: Control and prevention of bleeding episodes. Use around the time of surgery. Routine prophylaxis to prevent or reduce the frequency of bleeding episodes.
How is Kovaltry administered?
To combine the content of the vials, use a larger plastic syringe (not provided) to pool the solution into the syringe and administer as usual. The entire dose of KOVALTRY® can usually be infused within 1 to 15 minutes. Your healthcare provider will determine the rate of administration that is best for you.
How is Kovaltry made?
Kovaltry and Kogenate FS are both made using a copy of the same natural unmodified FVIII molecule that we find in human blood. They are both recombinant molecules with an identical factor VIII amino acid sequence and molecular formula that are produced in the same baby hamster kidney cell line.
