What are Meinl MCS cymbals made of?
Meinl crafts cymbals from B20 bronze by hand in its own Turkish cymbal factory. All of the Byzance Foundry Reserve, Byzance, Symphonic and portions of Candela series cymbals are made from B20 bronze. B8 bronze is an alloy made from 92% copper and 8% tin.

I had the HCS series on my previous set which is the starting point for the Meinl cymbals and was happy with those but these are a step up and you simply cant beat the value.. My favorite is the ride, real bright sound and the bell has just enough punch to it. These will make a great addition to any kit. Buy them.

ALL the cymbals in the pack are great. If you need a few cymbals and don’t have a grand to drop, DO NOT hesitate to get these. Are these cymbals bad for student grade drums?
Not bad for student grade cymbals. Not bad for student grade cymbals. They’re fairly rugged, and appear to be thick, and able to stand up to rigorous practicing. They sound fairly decent, even though they’re student grade.
