Patty Meyer Patty and her husband Dean found the mansion while hiking in Saugatuck Dunes State Park back in 2001 when it was a dilapidated mess. It was under Patty’s leadership that the community restored the mansion to what it is today. Prior to her time at the estate she taught 6th and 7th grade.

History. Originally built in 1925 and completed in 1928, the Felt Mansion began with a love story. Dorr Felt was drawn to the pristine beauty of West Michigan’s coastline and decided to build a house on several hundred acres of land for his wife, Agnes.
