Model United Nations, often referred to as Model UN or MUN, is an extracurricular most commonly for high school students, but also available to college and middle school students. Model UN is a simulation of UN organizations such as the UN General Assembly, UN Security Council, UNICEF, and others.

Delegates should be dressed in professional business attire that reflects their self-identified gender. Clothing considered too casual includes sweaters, novelty jackets, shorts, sundresses/other casual dresses, ball caps, jeans, sneakers, athletic wear, and sunglasses.
Do you have to speak at Model UN?
It is not compulsory to speak at MUN. However, to get the most out of attending Model United Nations, it’s highly recommended to speak, even if only in a limited way. Speaking at MUN allows you to get the most out of the experience, whilst building your confidence and gaining a better understanding of how the UN works.
Who can participate in Model UN?
The objectives are to bring young female and male individuals together to discuss global issues and promote diplomacy, human rights, peace building, and social welfare. Participants include university students up to the age of 30.
What can you bring to Model UN?
You could opt for a blazer, a pair of dress pants, or a dress skirt. Whatever you choose, don’t forget to pack enough button-up shirts for each day, and a pair of comfortable shoes: flats are highly recommended. Don’t forget to bring a few dresses too which could be worn to our social events.

Eligibility Criteria: Age: Applicants/ Nominees (individual or group) must be 14 to 40 (or above). Level: They may be students, fresh graduates or working professionals. MUN experience: Strong experience in Model United Nations is required.
