The Dark Portal is located in the Blasted Lands in the southeastern portion of the zone. After arriving in either Dreadmaul Hold or Nethergarde Keep (depending on your faction), you’ll need to walk all the way down to the southeast corner of the map until you reach a large, inland crater.

The Dark Portal was created through a joint effort between the human mage Medivh, possessed by the Dark Titan Sargeras, and the warlocks of the orcish Shadow Council led by Gul’dan as a means to allow the Old Horde, under the demonic influence of the Burning Legion, to invade the world of Azeroth.
