O2L — which comprises Connor Franta, Ricky Dillon, Sam Pottorff, JC Caylen, Trevi Moran, and Kian Lawley — is widely considered one of YouTube’s first big creator collectives, having spawned, at the height of their fame, a live tour and accompanying documentary.

Why did Connor Franta leave O2L?
In 2012, he joined a collaboration channel known as “Our2ndLife” (or O2L for short) along with 5 other YouTube personalities (Kian Lawley, Trevi Moran, JC Caylen, Ricky Dillon and Sam Pottorff) which helped him gain popularity. He announced his departure from the group in July 2014 due to personal issues.
When was O2L created?
Our2ndLife, known as O2L, began in 2012 with a group of six YouTubers who met while working in Los Angeles. The combined channel grew to more than 2.8 million followers the group headlined a 19-city tour in 2014.

On December 29, 2014 the box announced the ending of O2l. The video was uploaded on under the name This Is Not Goodbye. The boys then made the final week Goodbye Week, where each boy said their goodbyes. On January 3, 2015, Kian Lawley posted the final goodbye video on the channel.

Ricardo’s departure After eight months of the channel, Ricardo left Our2ndLife in a video called Until Next Time O2L. He claimed that he was leaving due to a hectic schedule. Ricky then told people that he was kicked out of the channel and that Ricardo was mean and selfish.
