Where do I send my transcripts to NC State?
Transcripts sent electronically through secure sending services need to be sent to [email protected] (National Student Clearinghouse users should select North Carolina State University, do not order by only using email address).
What does it mean to be deferred from NC State?
If you previously indicated on your application that you would not be submitting test scores for consideration in the application review process, you are unable to submit new test scores at this time. Your decision was not negatively impacted by the fact that you opted not to submit test scores.
Is NC State hard to get into?
NC State is considered a moderately selective college. In 2018, NC State received over 29,000 applications for 4,500 seats. However, because only a fraction of accepted students ultimately enroll, far more students are offered a placed in the incoming class. In 2018, the acceptance rate at NC State was 46%.
Does NC State require official transcript?
NC State only issues official transcripts at the authorization or written request of the student concerned. NC State will NOT issue a partial transcript; the university automatically sends all course work when a transcript is requested.

With a GPA of 3.8, NCSU requires you to be near the top of your class, and well above average. Your transcript should show mostly A’s. Ideally, you will also have taken several AP or IB classes to show that you can handle academics at a college level.

What is better waitlist or deferred?
According to U.S. News, the 91 ranked colleges that reported data on waitlisted students accepted anywhere from zero to 100 percent of those on the waitlist. The average, however, was about 1 in 5, or 20 percent. In general, you can assume that your odds are better if you’ve been deferred rather than waitlisted.
What percentage of deferred students are accepted?
Unfortunately, schools ultimately don’t accept many of the students they defer. As a rule of thumb, most schools accept only 5-10 percent of deferred students. And though early round admission rates are much better than regular they are still extremely competitive.
