Can DEXRON HP replace DEXRON VI?
No, that document says it’s for any vehicle requiring DEXRON HP fluid which is a different spec than DEXRON VI. And Dexron HP was also backwards compatible with DEXRON VI. But I believe the LV HP is has now replaced the regular HP. Dexron fluids have typically been backwards compatible.
What happens when the wrong transmission fluid is used?
