Why is the Chattanooga Riverwalk closed?
Please be Advised, TDOT is rebuilding a bridge over the Riverwalk which requires closure of a trail section near the Chestnut Street trailhead. There is a re-route during the anticipated 9 month closure. The image below shows the area impacted, the dashed red line is the detour route. Closure begins August 9 2021.
