Is Go Ape difficult?
Most of the course is simply walking along somewhat easy courses. The difficult parts are climbing the 5 rope ladders and also climbing the net after the 2 tarzan swings. The 2nd tarzan swing is much bigger and optional, the first one is smaller and necessary.
What is the age limit for Go Ape?
The TreeTop Adventure course is designed for children aged 6 to 12 years old. However, under 6’s can do the course as long as they are at least 1 metre tall and are likely to enjoy it. One adult can supervise two children, but only one child is recommended if it is their first time.
Do you wear helmets at Go Ape?
Go Ape’s risk assessment concludes that the increased risks (in particular those of entrapment and strangulation) resulting from wearing a helmet outweigh the benefit of a reduced risk of injury to the head. Consequently helmets are not worn on the course, (except by instructors in training and rescue situations).

Our award-winning tree-top obstacle course will see you tackle some high ropes, tightropes, tunnels and stirrups. You’ll be wobbling, whizzing, whooshing and whooping but just wait until you’ve experienced the buzz from the Tarzan Swing.
Do you need gloves for Go Ape UK?
Participants must wear gloves. Gloves can be brought from home or are available for purchase at Go Ape. Long hair has to be tied back, waists covered and body piercings and jewelry removed or taped over. You may want to bring a change of clothing for the journey home.
Can 16 year olds do Go Ape?
Jump on board one of our all-terrain Forest Segways for an hour long totally unique adventure. Restrictions: Under 16s: Must be supervised by a participating adult. 16 – 17: Can ride unsupervised, but cannot supervise under 16s.

Can I wear shorts to Go Ape?
Hi, thanks for your interest in Go Ape! We recommend wearing comfortable clothing that you don’t mind getting a little dirty (gym clothes are perfect, but keep in mind the harness will sit on your upper thighs and waist, so longer shorts are best) and closed toe shoes such as sneakers or hiking boots.
